About the Role

Own the automation platform that enables Crusoe's global network fleet to monitor, configure, and heal itself. Build source-of-truth systems, intent-based configuration pipelines, model-driven telemetry, self-healing workflows, and observability platforms while partnering with Network Architecture and mentoring senior engineers.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of network engineering experience
  • Production software, platform engineering, and infrastructure as code experience
  • Experience designing and shipping network automation platforms
  • Mastery of Python or Go
  • Experience with gNMI, OpenConfig, NETCONF, and YANG
  • Experience owning a network source of truth platform such as NetBox or Nautobot
  • Expertise with Arista EOS, Juniper Junos, and NVIDIA/Mellanox platforms
  • Knowledge of BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and LLDP
  • Experience building auto-remediation and closed-loop automation
  • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and streaming telemetry
  • Experience operating 10K+ network devices and multi-region fleets
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Define the network automation platform roadmap
  • Own the authoritative network source of truth and data model
  • Lead declarative network configuration pipelines
  • Define gNMI, OpenConfig, and NETCONF/YANG strategies
  • Build event-driven self-healing workflows
  • Set the direction for telemetry, metrics, alerting, and dashboards
  • Partner with Network Architecture on automation-first designs
  • Mentor Staff and Senior engineers
  • Drive code reviews, design reviews, and architecture decisions
