About the Role
You will design and manage systems that commercialize products and offerings. You will build billing, usage, metering, pricing, payment, reporting, budgeting, and cost-optimization capabilities; improve reliability and data quality; develop pricing strategies; apply AI and LLMs to cost insights; and provide long-term technical leadership.
Requirements
- 9+ years building large-scale data processing projects and distributed service infrastructure
- Experience building, shipping, and managing reliable distributed services and data pipelines at scale
- Leadership experience across functional and organizational boundaries
- Knowledge of computer science or a related field
Responsibilities
- Design and manage systems and services for product commercialization
- Develop pricing primitives for pay-as-you-go, commissions, credits, trials, and promotions
- Improve infrastructure efficiency, reliability, accuracy, and response times
- Enhance CI/CD, testing, data quality assurance, reconciliation, and anomaly detection
- Collaborate on pricing strategies and plans
- Use AI and LLMs for cost insight, prediction, and optimization
- Lead long-term product requirements and vision
- Represent Databricks at academic and industrial conferences and events
