About the Role
You will re-architect and build a next-generation Java risk platform, design real-time market risk and PnL systems, implement alerting and reporting tools, strengthen risk controls, and develop high-availability solutions. You will collaborate with risk managers, product managers, trading desk developers, and operations teams while mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in quantitative trading or front-office technology roles
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline
- Advanced Python skills
- Java proficiency
- Working knowledge of financial markets, instruments, PnL, margin, leverage, and market risk
- Experience with SQL, Redis, Kafka, RESTful APIs, and web services
- Familiarity with AliCloud or AWS
- Comfort with Linux or Unix shell environments
- Familiarity with agentic programming concepts and AI coding tools
- Strong risk control, compliance, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Build the next-generation risk platform in Java
- Design real-time market data analysis, PnL and risk calculations, alerting, reporting, and circuit-breaking systems
- Optimize risk control frameworks and logic
- Collaborate with risk managers and product managers to refine the risk management system
- Coordinate cross-functional projects with trading desk developers, risk managers, and operations teams
