About the Role

You will lead the technical strategy, architecture, and operational excellence for core marketing platforms. You will mentor engineers, guide technical roadmaps and designs, improve service stability and scalability, reduce system complexity, write code, pair program, and communicate technical strategy to senior executives.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related software engineering field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience, or 5+ years with an MS in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Exposure to Java, AWS, and potentially Lambdas or Kafka
  • Experience building or contributing to an advanced shared library, design system, or SDK
  • Understanding of modern architectures, design patterns, and platform nuances
  • Knowledge of web libraries and frameworks such as TypeScript, React, Angular, and/or Bootstrap
  • Experience influencing technical outcomes across engineering verticals
  • Expert experience with testing concepts, test tools, and integrating testing best practices in the SDLC
  • Experience making pragmatic trade-offs between short-term and long-term needs

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and guide engineers
  • Ensure services and platforms are stable, scalable, and future-proof
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the technical roadmap and champion technical initiatives
  • Contribute to technical design, strategy, and roadmaps
  • Write code and pair program with engineers
  • Reduce system complexity
  • Influence technical strategy across engineering verticals
  • Communicate complex technical strategy to executives and incorporate business strategy into technical strategies
