About the Role
You will own technical direction for autonomy across V-BAT, X-BAT, and future expeditionary platforms. You will guide platform integration and deployment, solve complex autonomy challenges, influence architecture across engineering groups, support operational events, and improve engineering processes.
Requirements
- BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Expert-level C++ and Linux systems development experience
- Experience defining technical strategy across multiple engineering teams or programs
- Experience influencing architecture and solving highly complex systems integration challenges
- Experience mentoring senior engineers and driving engineering excellence
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
Responsibilities
- Define and drive technical direction for expeditionary autonomy across current and future platforms
- Guide development of mission autonomy, payload integration, flight-autonomy interfaces, and multi-agent capabilities
- Establish platform integration, interface evolution, and mission-readiness strategy with the Aircraft team
- Influence architecture across autonomy, perception, command-and-control, aircraft, and customer organizations
- Lead architecture reviews, engineering standards, and interface definitions
- Guide customer releases, deployment strategy, mission validation, and critical operational events
- Drive improvements to engineering processes, integration workflows, testing infrastructure, and developer experience
- Define command-and-control interoperability strategy and open-systems adoption
- Mentor senior engineers and help define hiring standards for senior roles
