Symbiotic is the universal staking framework enabling decentralized networks to bootstrap powerful, fully sovereign ecosystems. Projects use the Symbiotic protocol to source operators and to scale economic security for their decentralized network. The framework is designed to be open, modular, permissionless, and flexible. It offers maximally capital-efficient sourcing of node operators and economic security through an extendable collateral base and scalable architecture. As a minimal coordination layer, it can plug into existing or novel network architectures. Its immutable core contracts give builders choice and control over shared security agreements without unnecessary governance or permissioning. Networks using Symbiotic have fully customizable punishment and reward mechanisms and adaptable restaking logic to meet evolving requirements.

About the Role
You will design, write, optimize, and audit smart contracts in Solidity with a focus on performance, clarity, and security. You will build DeFi primitives from scratch including vaults, lending mechanisms, staking, and related protocol level components. You will develop adapters, connectors, and plugins for our Liquid Lane product across varying levels of complexity. You will contribute to the design and buildout of greenfield financial products. You will conduct and support security audits, addressing vulnerabilities and hardening contracts against common attack vectors. Where needed, you will move beyond the contract layer leveraging AI as a multiplier: simple frontends, indexers, internal tooling, to move a piece of work end to end.
Requirements
- Expert in Solidity with deep knowledge of EVM internals including execution flow memory storage models gas mechanics and precompiles
- Strong grasp of DeFi protocols and primitives such as lending protocols DEXs and stablecoins and understanding of common failure points
- Strong security mindset familiar with common attack vectors contract optimization and the audit process
- Comfortable working across the stack and willing to become a fullstack developer if required
- Solid computer science fundamentals algorithms and low level reasoning about how code executes
- Deep specialist knowledge in one protocol domain even if exposure to others is lighter
- Experience in compiler development
- Experience in Rust Go or C/C++
- Practical coding experience in Python and JavaScript TypeScript
- Exposure to Yul Vyper or Huff
