About the Role
You will conduct in-depth security reviews of IaaS services and establish security baselines for the GPU compute platform, storage, virtual networking, Kubernetes, and Slurm. You will test isolation boundaries, document findings and remediation plans, produce assurance evidence, and work with engineering to implement secure-by-default patterns.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in security engineering, platform or infrastructure engineering, or security architecture with a platform-security focus
- Experience securing or assessing IaaS services at a cloud services provider
- Deep knowledge of multi-tenant isolation across bare metal, hypervisors, containers, and network segmentation
- Hands-on knowledge of GPU or accelerator infrastructure, passthrough, partitioning, firmware, BMC management, and hardware reuse risks
- Knowledge of multi-tenant storage security, encryption, key management, access control, snapshots, backups, and data reuse
- Knowledge of virtual networking, overlay and underlay design, segmentation, and management-plane separation
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and container internals, including runtimes, namespaces, cgroups, escape paths, admission control, and workload identity
- Experience securing or assessing Slurm or HPC environments
- Ability to influence engineering organisations and drive remediation without formal authority
Responsibilities
- Perform deep-dive security reviews of IaaS services and produce architectures, threat models, findings, and remediation plans
- Define service security baselines and review designs and implementations against them
- Prioritise findings by exploitability and advise leadership on platform security gaps
- Review bare-metal and virtualised GPU infrastructure, hypervisors, firmware, BMC management, and tenant reprovisioning
- Verify tenant isolation and management-plane separation
- Review multi-tenant storage for data separation, encryption, key management, access control, and secure lifecycle handling
- Review virtual networking for segmentation and tenant-to-management-plane boundaries
- Review Kubernetes and Slurm environments for tenant isolation, identity, hardening, privilege boundaries, and escape paths
- Drive isolation testing and gather customer assurance evidence
- Partner with platform, SRE, and infrastructure engineering to implement fixes and secure-by-default patterns
- Track control coverage and remediation trends
