About the Role
You will conduct security design reviews and threat modeling, harden multi-tenant infrastructure, and find and remediate vulnerabilities in application code and infrastructure as code. You will prioritize remediation, build security tooling, support customer security reviews, and coach engineers on secure design.
Requirements
- 5+ years of security engineering experience or equivalent formal security training and engineering experience
- Depth in infrastructure security or application security
- Experience with design reviews, threat models, or adopted security fixes
- Experience independently owning security work end to end
- Hands-on Linux experience in bare-metal and cloud environments
- Ability to read application code and infrastructure as code, including Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes manifests
- Experience building production-grade tooling in Python, Go, or a similar language
- Ability to communicate security risk and business impact
Responsibilities
- Own security design reviews and threat models
- Harden network, cluster, and infrastructure-service layers for multi-tenant isolation
- Review application code and infrastructure as code, identify vulnerabilities, and deliver fixes
- Prioritize vulnerability risk and drive remediation to SLA
- Create security requirements, reference patterns, and guardrails
- Support customer security reviews and architecture discussions
- Build Python or Go automation for security review and triage
- Partner with engineering, operations, detection and response, and GRC teams
- Coach engineers and mentor newer security-team members
- Balance long-term security improvements with tactical fixes
