About the Role
You will architect real-time arm motion-planning algorithms and whole-body control solutions. You will develop interaction-control strategies, tune compliant controllers, and build teleoperation control mappings and assistance layers that translate human input into safe robot motion.
Requirements
- PhD in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or an MS degree with 4+ years of relevant industry experience
- Understanding of rigid-body kinematics, dynamics, 3D geometry, linear algebra, and Lie theory
- Modern C++ expertise
- Experience with Eigen, KDL, or Pinocchio
- Experience with motion-planning libraries
- Experience implementing PID, impedance control, or MPC on real hardware
- Ability to work in-office 5 days per week
Responsibilities
- Architect motion-planning and trajectory-generation algorithms for high-DOF arms
- Develop whole-body control for coordinated mobile-base and manipulator motion
- Develop low-level interaction-control strategies
- Design and tune impedance and admittance controllers
- Build teleoperation control mappings and assistance layers
- Translate human operator input into feasible and safe robot motions
