About the Role
You will establish and run engineering operations programs, metrics, reviews, and accountability processes across production infrastructure. You will track service health, capacity, incidents, change safety, and delivery commitments, drive risks to resolution, and evolve the operating model as the function grows.
Requirements
- At least 10 years in software engineering, SRE, technical program management, or a technical product role
- Experience close to production systems
- Track record leading staff-level or higher organization-wide programs
- Experience driving accountability across senior engineering leaders without formal authority
- Experience operating in high-growth infrastructure environments
- Ability to synthesize multi-source data into operational health metrics
- Experience designing weekly, business, or incident review operating rhythms
Responsibilities
- Own programs for SLOs and SLIs, incident follow-up, change safety, capacity delivery, and operational data
- Define and track operational metrics including capacity, SLO attainment, MTTD, MTTR, incidents, delivery, and change metrics
- Maintain accurate operational data and sources of truth with cross-functional partners
- Build systems, data, and pre-reads for weekly executive operations reviews
- Run weekly operations planning and support monthly business reviews
- Establish accountable owners, swimlanes, and outcomes for programs and metrics
- Drive overdue actions, incident follow-ups, and slipping milestones to closure
- Operate as an individual contributor and develop the function as scope grows
- Continuously improve operating processes while minimizing engineering overhead
