About the Role
You will lead the design, development, and testing of a launch and recovery system for an unmanned aircraft system. You will create CAD models and manufacturing documentation, conduct structural and thermal analyses, integrate the launcher with aircraft operations, oversee prototypes and validation, coordinate suppliers, and support flight-test ground operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of mechanical-design experience for aerospace, ground-support equipment, or heavy industrial systems
- CAD expertise with SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar software
- Structural analysis, material-selection, and manufacturing-process knowledge for ruggedized systems
- Experience designing deployable, transportable, and field-ready aerospace support equipment
- Knowledge of MIL-STD design requirements
- Experience with finite-element analysis, thermal analysis, and fatigue or lifecycle testing
- Ability to work in an agile development environment
- Ability to obtain an S//SAR security clearance
