About the Role
You will design, build, and operate secure platform infrastructure across public clouds, private clouds, hybrid environments, and on-premises deployments. You will package applications, automate infrastructure, improve portability, operate release and observability systems, and guide technical standards for reliable production operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software, platform, infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps engineering experience with production-system ownership
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and production cluster operations
- Experience with Helm and infrastructure as code, including Terraform or Pulumi
- Infrastructure experience with at least two of AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Experience deploying software in customer-controlled, private-cloud, hybrid-cloud, or on-premises environments
- Knowledge of networking, DNS, ingress, load balancing, certificates, IAM, secrets management, persistent storage, and service-to-service security
- Experience building and operating CI/CD or GitOps systems, production releases, upgrades, rollbacks, and incident-response observability
- Software engineering and automation skills in Python, Go, TypeScript, or a similar language
- Experience designing secure, portable production infrastructure
- Experience adapting a cloud-native SaaS product for customer-hosted, private-cloud, or on-premises deployment
- Experience using AI-assisted coding and engineering tools
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and operate secure infrastructure across public, private, hybrid, on-premises, and customer-controlled environments
- Containerize and package application services using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, or equivalent tools
- Create reusable infrastructure-as-code modules and deployment workflows
- Design deployments for restricted networks, approved registries, data residency, and customer-owned cloud accounts
- Replace or abstract cloud-service dependencies that hinder portability
- Troubleshoot issues across applications, clusters, cloud services, networks, and infrastructure
- Build and maintain CI/CD and GitOps workflows, releases, upgrades, rollbacks, and version controls
- Build and operate metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerts, and SLOs
- Lead infrastructure and reliability decisions across product and customer teams
- Set standards for production readiness, portability, security, observability, and support
- Mentor engineers and improve distributed-systems operations
