About the Role
You will shape product and business decisions through analysis, experimentation, and stakeholder partnership. You will define and maintain metrics, measure launches and KPI changes, build reporting and alerts, model trusted data, and communicate clear recommendations. You will also create reusable AI-assisted analytics capabilities that enable self-service.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a data analyst or data scientist, preferably in a product-focused role
- Advanced SQL and data visualisation skills
- Experience building data models in a modern cloud warehouse and transformation framework
- Strong data quality practices
- Knowledge of statistics, probability, experiment design, and interpretation
- Understanding of payments or fintech operations, including fraud, chargebacks, KYC/AML, and payment success rates
- Experience using AI-assisted and LLM tools for analysis
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead projects independently
Responsibilities
- Partner with product and business teams to conduct analysis and deliver prioritised recommendations
- Define, document, and maintain metric definitions and business context
- Set up tracking and monitoring for launches and changes, and measure KPI impact
- Build and maintain reporting, automated alerting, and root-cause analysis
- Design, run, and interpret A/B and quasi-experiments
- Model and test trusted data in dbt and BigQuery
- Create reusable AI-assisted analytics skills for self-service
- Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
