About the Role
You will own the end-to-end commissioning program for Spark modules. You will establish testing standards and quality gates, lead factory and site commissioning, manage vendors, resolve technical issues, and deliver complete turnover documentation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of data center commissioning, construction, or critical infrastructure delivery experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent commissioning experience
- Expert knowledge of L1–L5 commissioning
- Experience commissioning data center cooling, liquid cooling, BMS, and controls systems
- Experience with factory acceptance or witness testing for modular equipment
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, P&IDs, single-line diagrams, sequences of operation, submittals, and test procedures
- Experience managing commissioning agents and suppliers
- Willingness to travel up to 75%
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Spark commissioning program
- Define L1–L5 factory and site commissioning activities
- Develop standardized commissioning plans, test scripts, and turnover packages
- Lead factory acceptance and integration testing of mechanical, cooling, and controls systems
- Set inspection, quality, and ship-readiness criteria
- Oversee site installation validation, startup, and integrated systems testing
- Track issues, identify root causes, and drive design and manufacturing improvements
- Manage third-party commissioning agents and equipment suppliers
- Serve as the escalation point for mechanical and controls issues
- Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, construction, controls, and operations stakeholders
- Deliver turnover documentation and support operational handover
- Enforce safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements
