About the Role
You will sit at the intersection of sales and engineering, acting as a trusted advisor, platform architect, and business consultant. You'll work alongside the sales team to qualify, shape, and win complex opportunities by leading technical discovery, designing solution architectures on the new product platform, and rooting every proposal in a deep understanding of customer business pain. You'll help customers understand not just what IDnow does, but why it matters for their business outcomes, such as improving verification conversion rates, reducing fraud losses, or enabling new digital experiences like keyless vehicle access.
Requirements
- 5+ years in a Solution Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Technical Sales role, ideally in SaaS, identity, FinTech, or security
- Proven ability to lead a discovery conversation with rigour
- Strong solution architecture skills including designing integration flows and explaining orchestration logic
- Hands-on comfort with REST APIs, SDKs, and integration tooling such as Postman and Git
- Ability to translate technical complexity into business value
- Fluent English and full-professional German required
- Familiarity with identity verification, KYC/AML, or digital identity concepts is a strong plus
- Experience in mobility, fintech, banking, or regulated industries is a strong plus
- Exposure to MEDDPICC or similar enterprise sales qualification frameworks is a strong plus
- Understanding of privacy and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, AMLR, eIDAS is a strong plus
- Knowledge of web development concepts such as frontend/backend, webhooks, OAuth is a strong plus
Responsibilities
- Lead structured technical and business discovery calls alongside the sales team using MEDDPICC qualification methodology
- Ask questions about conversion rates, FAR/FRR trade-offs, fraud exposure, integration constraints, and business impact
- Map customer pain points to measurable outcomes and document qualification findings for internal alignment
- Design end-to-end solution architectures selecting and orchestrating product platform capabilities for each use case
- Produce clear architecture proposals that link technical choices back to customer business objectives and KPIs
- Anticipate integration complexity, design fallback logic, address data residency and compliance requirements
- Lead proof-of-concept and pilot engagements configuring API integrations and building Postman collections
- Manage sandbox environments and guide customers through technical validation
- Translate customer feedback from pilots into actionable product and configuration recommendations
- Build trusted advisor relationships with business and technical stakeholders
- Handle complex objections on pricing, integration effort, trade-offs, or competitive positioning
- Support RFP/RFI responses with solution-oriented content
- Contribute to improvement of Solution Engineering tooling including demo environments and architecture templates
- Share market and competitive intelligence with product and sales teams
- Help onboard and mentor junior team members
