About the Role
You will design and build the quality engineering platform for a decentralized exchange, including testing architecture, automation frameworks, developer tooling, CI/CD integrations, and AI-powered quality systems. You will create automated tests for backend services, frontend applications, blockchain integrations, and trading infrastructure, while validating correctness, performance, reliability, and resilience under real-world trading conditions.
Requirements
- Write clean, maintainable, production-quality software
- Build scalable automation frameworks and reusable testing libraries from scratch
- Have 5+ years of experience in SDET, quality engineering, test automation, or software engineering
- Have strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills
- Have experience with Playwright or Cypress
- Have experience testing REST, JSON-RPC, GraphQL, WebSocket, or similar APIs
- Have experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Have experience with Docker and containerized testing environments
- Have strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve the quality engineering platform
- Define unit, integration, contract, API, and end-to-end testing architecture
- Build reusable testing frameworks, shared libraries, fixtures, and developer tooling
- Design deterministic test data generation and management strategies
- Design AI-assisted quality engineering workflows
- Build LLM-based systems for test generation, maintenance, failure analysis, root cause identification, and regression detection
- Build automated test suites for APIs, backend services, frontend applications, and blockchain interactions
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and implement quality gates
- Optimize test execution through parallelization, test selection, caching, and infrastructure improvements
- Validate trading flows, order matching, execution paths, routing logic, fee calculations, and settlement
- Verify consistency between backend services, blockchain state, and frontend behavior
- Develop load, stress, endurance, and resilience testing
- Validate system behavior during failures, timeouts, and outages
- Improve system observability and production issue investigation
- Collaborate with Backend, Frontend, Blockchain, DevOps, and Product teams
- Mentor engineers on automated testing and quality engineering
