About the Role
You will own quality for a new product squad building a crypto payment platform. You will create and maintain automated UI and API tests, move regression testing into CI, perform exploratory and acceptance testing, review requirements, verify client-facing releases, communicate product issues to stakeholders and vendors, and maintain QA documentation and defect reports.
Requirements
- 5+ years of QA engineering experience on web applications
- Experience writing and maintaining automated UI, API, or backend tests
- Good TypeScript programming skills
- Proficiency with a modern automation framework such as Playwright
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Manual testing experience covering exploratory, regression, smoke, and acceptance testing
- Experience with Insomnia or Postman
- Proficiency writing SQL queries
- Understanding of the test pyramid and automation strategy
- Proficient use of AI tooling in test design and coding
- Understanding of crypto and stablecoin payment flows
- High agency in identifying and resolving quality risks
- Strong written and verbal English communication
Responsibilities
- Own the squad test strategy and execution
- Write and maintain automated UI and API tests
- Prioritize the automation backlog
- Move routine regression testing into CI
- Review product requirements and acceptance criteria
- Verify client-facing releases
- Run acceptance testing before releases reach clients
- Communicate product issues with stakeholders and third-party vendors
- Maintain QA documentation and release and escaped-defect reports
