About the Role
You will own end-to-end testing for dreamDEX, covering order matching, settlement, margin and liquidation, deposits and withdrawals, APIs, and the frontend. You will define test strategies, build AI-assisted automation, test edge cases and attack surfaces, run regression and load testing, communicate test results, and manage defects through root-cause resolution.
Requirements
- 7+ years of QA experience on perpetuals trading systems
- Fluency in matching-engine, settlement, and margin-system failure modes
- Strong test-engineering skills and an automation-first mindset
- Daily use of AI tooling to write, generate, and triage tests
- Experience testing systems that agents trade on
- Hands-on experience in a fast-moving environment with significant ownership
- Smart-contract testing, fuzzing, or security-adjacent experience
- Experience testing REST and WebSocket trading APIs and bot or agent integrations
- Experience taking a new venue or major trading product through initial launches
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end test coverage across order matching, settlement, margin and liquidation, deposits and withdrawals, APIs, and the frontend
- Define test strategies for spot, perpetuals, and event-contract products and features
- Build automated test infrastructure
- Generate test cases and conduct agent-driven exploratory testing
- Use LLMs to assist with test triage
- Test partial fills, reorganizations, oracle deviations, liquidation cascades, and agent-driven attack surfaces
- Communicate test information proactively across the organization
- Drive discussions between different projects
- Run regression and load testing against throughput and latency requirements
- Drive defect management
- Prioritize issues, identify root causes, and prevent regressions
