About the Role
You will design and operate automated testing systems for banking APIs, backend services, and token transaction flows. You will integrate tests into delivery pipelines, validate controls and auditability, develop performance testing, define release gates, and improve production readiness with engineering and risk stakeholders.
Requirements
- Have 7+ years of QA automation or quality engineering experience
- Have significant experience in regulated financial environments
- Have experience using Cursor AI and Claude for automated testing and QA work
- Have hands-on experience at a bank, core banking provider, or regulated financial institution
- Understand banking systems, payment rails, and financial operations
- Have experience testing banking APIs, payment processing systems, and bank integrations
- Have programming skills in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Have experience with test automation frameworks
- Have experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments
- Know banking compliance and control frameworks, including SOC, SOX, PCI DSS, and FFIEC
- Have experience validating audit requirements, data lineage, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable test automation frameworks for banking APIs, integrations, backend services, and token transaction flows
- Use AI tools to build and maintain test automation suites
- Implement functional, edge-case, failure-mode, and error-handling testing
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Develop performance, load, and stress tests for transaction systems
- Build test strategies for distributed, event-driven, and asynchronous systems
- Improve observability, test environments, and release safety with DevOps and backend teams
- Define quality metrics, dashboards, and release gates
- Drive QA automation practices, test data management, and deterministic test design
- Participate in architecture and design reviews for testability, compliance, controls, and risk reduction
- Perform quality assurance tasks as needed
