About the Role
You will design and operate high-scale payment APIs and distributed services using Java and Spring Boot. You will integrate payment methods across markets, ensure transaction correctness and recoverability, solve distributed-systems challenges, review code, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend software development experience
- Experience building and operating high-availability large-scale applications
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and software design patterns
- Ability to own outcomes and work autonomously
- Ability to manage cross-team collaboration and complex dependencies
- Excellent problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills
- Genuine interest in crypto or fintech
Responsibilities
- Design and build high-scale payment APIs and distributed services
- Integrate and scale payment channels across global markets
- Implement consistency, idempotency, reconciliation, failure recovery, and operational tooling
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Investigate and resolve distributed-systems challenges
- Collaborate with product, design, and partner teams
- Mentor engineers and share technical knowledge
