About the Role
You will own embedded-finance features from specification and solution design through production operation. You will build and maintain Node.js and TypeScript backend services, scalable APIs, asynchronous jobs, cloud-native AWS infrastructure, data storage, CI/CD pipelines, and security practices. You will contribute to architecture decisions and code reviews, work directly with product and business stakeholders, and use AI tools to improve development velocity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience
- Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and asynchronous job patterns
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including Lambda, SQS, Aurora, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager
- Strong SQL fundamentals and relational database experience
- Familiarity with event-driven and serverless architectures
- Ability to own features end-to-end from idea to production
- Clear communication and ability to work autonomously in a fully remote asynchronous environment
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve development efficiency
Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end, from specification and solution design through production operation
- Design, build, and maintain Node.js and TypeScript backend services for high-performance APIs and asynchronous jobs
- Use AWS cloud-native services to build scalable, resilient architectures
- Manage data storage and synchronization with Postgres and Aurora
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and security practices
- Collaborate directly with product and business stakeholders
- Use AI tools and modern development practices to improve engineering velocity
