About the Role
You will build and operate large-scale data platforms and the tools that support them. You will develop distributed systems, improve data quality and discoverability, optimize CI/CD infrastructure, create streaming applications, and maintain reliable real-time and batch pipelines.
Requirements
- 8+ years of object-oriented programming experience
- Expertise in Python or Java
- Experience developing and maintaining distributed compute and data systems
- Experience with Spark Trino Druid or ClickHouse
- Experience building real-time and batch pipelines
- Experience with Kafka or Spark Streaming
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills
- Focus on reliability user-friendliness and platform scale
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-performance distributed big data platforms
- Build tools for metadata collection data lineage and data quality
- Work with distributed databases filesystems and compute engines
- Optimize CI/CD and infrastructure in a private cloud environment
- Develop stream processing applications and frameworks
- Design data contracts validation frameworks and optimization tooling
- Build and maintain Kafka ingestion pipelines
- Operate real-time and batch data pipelines
- Collaborate with data engineers and ML scientists
