About Databricks
Data engineers, analysts, and AI teams use Databricks to process large datasets, build reliable pipelines, and train models on a single governed platform. Users can run SQL analytics, serve ML predictions in real time, and deploy AI agents grounded in enterprise data. Its open lakehouse architecture provides consistent security and governance across analytical and operational workloads.

About the Role
You will design and build a serverless compute platform with high availability, low latency, and scale-to-zero efficiency. You will develop unified multi-cloud abstractions, support GPU and stateful workloads, and optimize systems from API gateways to networking and container orchestration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of production-level experience with Python, Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language
- 4+ years developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or MicroVM technologies
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP internals
Responsibilities
- Design and build the next generation serverless platform
- Build a compute stack for GPU and stateful workloads
- Develop multi-cloud platform abstractions
- Optimize API gateways, host networking, and container orchestration
Benefits
- Eligibility for an annual performance bonus
