About the Role

You lead technical strategy for platform networking, design resilient Istio service meshes, define HTTP and gRPC standards, build Python and Go automation, maintain Terraform infrastructure, partner on secure platform solutions, and mentor senior engineers.

Requirements

Experience with AWS network communication fundamentals
Strong understanding of Kubernetes and AWS EKS operations at scale
Strong understanding of HTTP/REST and gRPC protocols
Strong understanding of Istio service mesh
Experience with Envoy
Traffic communication troubleshooting across L3–L7
Packet capture and analysis
Python and Golang programming skills
Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
Leadership skills for end-to-end project delivery

Responsibilities

Lead technical strategy and execution for platform networking
Design and operate resilient Istio service mesh topologies
Define platform standards for HTTP/REST and gRPC APIs
Build automation and tooling in Python and Go
Create and maintain Terraform Infrastructure as Code modules and pipelines
Partner with security, networking, and application teams
Drive roadmaps and set success metrics
De-risk complex projects
Mentor senior engineers
