About the Role
You will migrate Akamai configuration into Terraform and GitLab CI/CD workflows. You will build self-service tooling, operate edge delivery, routing, DNS, caching, security controls, and certificates, and investigate complex production incidents. You will create API-based automation, maintain configuration inventories, and work with application teams on secure, reliable edge delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of CDN and edge delivery engineering experience
- Deep hands-on Akamai expertise
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with the Akamai Terraform Provider
- GitLab CI/CD experience
- Python or Bash scripting
- DNS, routing, traffic management, redirection, and rewrite expertise
- Edge security and SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management
- Edge Diagnostics, mPulse, and traffic reporting API experience
- TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and routing knowledge
- Experience with ITSM or change-control processes such as ServiceNow
Responsibilities
- Migrate Akamai configuration to Terraform-first workflows
- Build self-service workflows for edge changes
- Integrate edge configuration with GitLab CI/CD and ServiceNow
- Automate operational tasks using Akamai APIs
- Operate Akamai edge delivery, routing, DNS, and caching
- Configure edge security controls and manage certificate lifecycles
- Maintain configuration inventories and remediate drift
- Diagnose delivery, routing, and performance incidents
- Partner with application teams on edge-delivery requirements
