About the Role

This senior engineering role focuses on building reliable, scalable, production-grade backend services and APIs for the Chainlink Runtime Environment platform. The engineer will improve workflow durability, platform resilience, architecture, testing, and operational excellence while partnering across engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale production platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency developing production systems in Go.
  • Experience building production APIs and backend applications for multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver reliable, high-quality software through rigorous engineering practices.
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs.
  • High ownership, technical curiosity, and continuous learning.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional engineering environments.
  • Experience with SLOs and SLIs.
  • Experience with TypeScript, Solidity, or additional backend technologies.
  • Interest in blockchain infrastructure and Web3 technologies.
  • Experience building decentralized applications.
  • Experience with financial infrastructure, banking systems, or other mission-critical distributed platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate highly scalable platform services for CRE reliability and performance.
  • Lead development of production-grade backend services and APIs for internal stakeholders and platform consumers.
  • Drive architectural improvements supporting vertical and horizontal scaling.
  • Improve workflow execution durability and platform resilience through engineering, testing, and operational excellence.
  • Deliver cross-functional platform initiatives from architectural design through production deployment.
  • Reduce operational silos and improve documentation, shared knowledge, and platform ownership.
  • Improve platform reliability through measurable service reliability practices.
