About the Role
You will design, develop, and operate scalable backend services for customer integrations, robot operations, and KPI aggregation. You will contribute to the architecture, reliability, and scalability of containerized microservices, work across engineering disciplines to deliver end-to-end features, and participate in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Approximately five years of experience designing, building, deploying, and operating backend systems in a service-oriented architecture
- Experience with TypeScript, Java, C++, or Python
- Experience with service decomposition and API design
- Knowledge of RPC, publish-subscribe, and event-driven interaction patterns
- Experience with at least two database technologies
- Experience balancing consistency with availability or performance
- Experience with a major cloud provider
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and building distributed workflows, or building event-driven applications and scalable data-processing pipelines
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services for customer-system integrations
- Develop backend infrastructure for robot operations
- Develop components that aggregate KPIs
- Contribute to backend architecture, reliability, and scalability in a containerized microservices environment
- Collaborate with frontend, robotics, and infrastructure engineers on end-to-end features
- Participate in on-call rotations
