About the Role
You will design and build service-to-service communication systems for a multi-cloud environment. You will develop ingress control-plane capabilities, service discovery and load-balancing mechanisms, networking abstractions, and rate-limiting and admission-control systems for reliable performance at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years designing and building large-scale distributed systems
- Proficiency in Java, Scala, Go, C++, or a similar language
- Experience with service-oriented architectures and distributed systems
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Experience shipping infrastructure for mission-critical workloads at scale
- Background in service discovery, DNS, load balancing, Envoy, or related networking systems
Responsibilities
- Build the control plane for the global ingress layer
- Enable API gateway programming with static and dynamic endpoints
- Design service discovery and load-balancing mechanisms across clusters
- Provide networking abstractions for product teams
- Build rate-limiting and admission-control systems
- Ensure reliable and predictable performance for customer-facing and internal workloads
