About the Role
You will design, integrate, and test robotic manufacturing systems, workcells, tooling, and hardware. You will build CAD assemblies, validate designs, select components, integrate mechanical systems, assess safety risks, procure materials, and maintain bills of materials and PDM records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of robotic-system design and integration experience using six-axis industrial robots
- Experience designing 6DOF robot automation systems and end-of-arm tools
- Expert-level SolidWorks and experience with 3D solid modeling and manufacturing drawings
- Familiarity with motion control, robotics programming, and industrial equipment
- Willingness to travel to customer sites
- Meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements and maintain U.S. work authorization
Responsibilities
- Gather project requirements, CAD files, measurements, and documentation
- Build 3D CAD assemblies and design robotic manufacturing cells
- Design and iterate on workcells, tools, and end-of-arm tooling
- Design hardware and mechanisms for six-axis robotic systems
- Perform structural analysis and simulation
- Prototype hardware using manufacturable design principles
- Select electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components
- Integrate motors, sensors, and cabling into mechanical assemblies
- Troubleshoot and test hardware and automation systems
- Lead mechanical risk assessments and ensure industrial safety compliance
- Review bills of materials and maintain PDM records
