About the Role
You will design, develop, and test algorithms for robotic manipulation, motion planning, control, packing, and system design. You will build concurrent performance-critical software, optimize real-time communications with robotic equipment, and support proof-of-concepts and customer deployments.
Requirements
- Hold an academic background in computer science, robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Have 5+ years of academic or industry experience in robotics and software engineering
- Demonstrate proficiency in C++ and Python
- Understand linear algebra and 3D geometry for robotics
- Work in Linux environments
- Demonstrate business-level English or Japanese skills
Responsibilities
- Tackle motion-planning, control, packing, and system-design challenges for industrial robots
- Design, develop, and test algorithms for picking, packing, and material handling
- Build highly concurrent, performance-critical software systems
- Implement and optimize real-time communication modules using C/C++
- Support proof-of-concepts and customer deployments with project management and integration groups
