About the Role
Identify, analyze, measure, and manage various types of risk; support business and investment strategy evaluations with independent risk analysis; build risk management tools and processes; assess new products and services; prepare risk reports; promote risk awareness through training and advisory support; engage external stakeholders; and monitor regulatory developments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Accountancy, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in risk management, finance, accounting, audit, or a related function.
- Familiarity with BSP regulations, ISO, COSO, and Basel II/III.
- Strong organizational, project management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of accounting systems, financial statements, ratios, and market and liquidity risk indicators.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively during risk events or control issues.
- Working knowledge of BSP and banking-related regulations for non-bank financial institutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze, measure, and manage market, liquidity, operational, regulatory, and business continuity risks.
- Support business and investment strategy evaluations with independent risk analysis and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain risk management infrastructure, tools, and processes to monitor and report risk exposures.
- Conduct risk assessments for new products, activities, services, processes, and change initiatives.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc risk reports covering exposures, emerging risks, and policy or regulatory breaches.
- Promote risk awareness through education, training, and advisory support.
- Engage with external stakeholders and relevant risk forums.
- Monitor regulations, industry standards, and best practices to keep the risk framework current.
