About the Role
You will lead the design, integration, testing, and operation of propulsion systems for spacecraft and lunar landers. You will coordinate technical work across subsystems, manage suppliers, develop hypergolic system designs, support cleanroom assembly, conduct reviews, and prepare mission operations procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or similar Engineering with 8 years of spacecraft propulsion experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of related experience
- Knowledge of propulsion system architecture, components, suppliers, and best practices
- Ability to coordinate a technical team of three or more engineers
- Experience balancing quality, cost, schedule, and risk
- Experience with component specifications, vendor management, and requirements verification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- ITAR access required
- Ability to lift, move, or carry up to 25 pounds
Responsibilities
- Lead and support propulsion system design, integration, testing, and operation
- Coordinate requirements, design progress, schedules, and risks across spacecraft subsystems
- Create conceptual and detailed hypergolic propulsion system designs
- Develop component specifications and support supplier management
- Review manufacturing processes and verify requirements through testing or analysis
- Create integration instructions and support cleanroom spacecraft assembly
- Contribute to technical readiness and safety reviews
- Write mission operations procedures and provide real-time mission operations support
