About the Role
You will strategize, architect, write, review, and edit competitive aerospace proposals. You will gather technical input from subject matter experts, develop win themes and executive summaries, convert technical documentation into proposal content, coordinate visuals, address feedback, and guide technical writers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering or physical science
- Five or more years of aerospace or related industry experience
- Understanding of spacecraft systems and engineering principles
- Experience writing competitive funding proposals
- Ability to communicate technical topics through prose and graphics
- Ability to storyboard technical narratives
- Writing ability including grammar, flow, tone, and conciseness
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage overlapping projects and deadlines
Responsibilities
- Develop technically credible and competitive aerospace proposals
- Draft proposal product descriptions, technical specifications, and performance requirements
- Develop proposal win themes, storyboards, and strategic narratives
- Write executive summaries and critical proposal sections
- Interview subject matter experts and incorporate technical information into proposals
- Review technical documentation and produce proposal content
- Work with graphic designers on visual technical content
- Assemble, review, and edit proposals for accuracy, completeness, and guideline adherence
- Revise proposal content based on stakeholder feedback
- Guide other technical writers
