About the Role

You will create visual assets, environments, storyboards, and interactive learning content for security awareness simulations. You will translate educational goals into game mechanics and visual systems, own asset workstreams from concept to handoff, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and improve scalable art-production processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in game design, educational technology, interactive media, illustration, animation, or adjacent visual design roles
• Experience creating art for online interactive games, simulations, e-learning, or similar systems
• Strong illustration and asset-production skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Ability to turn loosely defined ideas into production-ready concepts, layouts, and asset libraries
• Strong visual consistency, readability, hierarchy, and environmental storytelling skills
• Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-moving, iterative environment
• Online portfolio
• Experience with storyboarding, scene planning, or pre-visualization for interactive or animated content preferred
• Familiarity with game design principles preferred
• Experience with After Effects, motion workflows, or animation handoff preferred
• Experience using AI-assisted creative tools responsibly preferred

Responsibilities

• Translate educational curriculum and learning objectives into playable game mechanics and risk/reward systems
• Define core gameplay loops, pacing, reward systems, and difficulty curves
• Contribute to playtesting by identifying usability, feedback, and visual-clarity issues
• Define engagement metrics, retention rates, and learning outcomes
• Create production-ready visual assets, including characters, props, environments, UI elements, icons, and in-world objects
• Translate creative briefs, learning goals, and product requirements into visual concepts, storyboards, layouts, and production assets
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to create engaging and instructionally valuable experiences
• Own asset workstreams from concept through handoff and maintain organized, reusable files
• Establish and maintain visual systems, patterns, and documentation
• Improve production quality and team velocity through asset planning, reusable templates, and ethical AI-assisted concepting workflows
