About the Role
You will shape product strategy and experiences that connect planning, source code management, and AI-assisted development. You will help define spec-driven development workflows, human-in-the-loop and autonomous development experiences, and smoother handoffs from requirements to code. You will use customer insights, product usage data, and market context to prioritize opportunities, partner with engineering, design, and product teams on demos and prototypes, and balance rapid delivery with long-term direction. You will collaborate across Plan, Source Code Management, Code Review, and AI to reduce friction throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Experience as a product manager working on developer tools, DevOps tools, source code management, planning tools, AI-native products, or related software development lifecycle products.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle from requirements through planning, coding, review, testing, and delivery.
- Experience working with technical product areas and engineering teams, with technical depth to understand developer workflows and tradeoffs.
- Experience using data to identify customer impact and guide prioritization.
- Experience operating in ambiguous spaces without a clear market pattern or established product category.
- Experience using or building with AI tools, agents, or AI-assisted workflows beyond basic prompting.
- Ability to think creatively about how AI changes the software development lifecycle and product experiences.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in an all-remote, asynchronous environment.
- Ability to help teams ship meaningful customer value quickly.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive product strategy for experiences connecting planning, source code management, and AI-assisted development.
- Shape spec-driven development workflows that help teams and AI agents move from requirements to code.
- Work with engineering, design, and product teams to build human-in-the-loop and autonomous development workflows.
- Partner on demos and prototypes for spec-driven planning and autonomous development modes.
- Use customer insights, product usage data, and market context to identify high-value opportunities.
- Help teams ship quickly with quality while balancing near-term execution and long-term product direction.
- Explore ways for planning to account for code review, test-case review, and validation of agent-produced work.
- Collaborate across Plan, Source Code Management, Code Review, and AI product areas to reduce software development lifecycle friction.
