About the Role
You will design intuitive and engaging chat experiences, define user-centered solutions with product managers, researchers, and engineers, and deliver wireframes, user flows, journey maps, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and research. You will shape design vision, lead design reviews, present work, and facilitate design-thinking workshops.
Requirements
- Experience designing consumer-facing chat or instant messaging experiences
- Experience designing chat, social, or user-to-user interaction features
- Visual design expertise
- User interface design expertise
- 3+ years collaborating within cross-functional teams at a technology company
- Communication skills
- Prototyping skills are preferred
- Design systems familiarity is preferred
- Data-informed design experience is preferred
- Experience with distributed teams is preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline is preferred
Responsibilities
- Drive experience innovation for socially driven and interaction-heavy features
- Partner with product managers, researchers, and engineers
- Define core problems and deliver user-centered design solutions
- Create wireframes, user flows, journey maps, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes
- Conduct evaluative research
- Shape the design vision with UX Research, UX Writing, Brand, and Product leadership
- Solicit feedback through design reviews and presentations
- Facilitate design-thinking workshops
