About the Role
You will build performance-analysis and observability tooling, identify and resolve systemic infrastructure and product issues, and anticipate scaling bottlenecks before they become incidents. You will work across product, infrastructure, and security teams to develop shared solutions, establish measurement and SLO practices, communicate technical trade-offs, and raise engineering standards through reviews, documentation, and mentorship.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or SRE with substantial distributed systems experience
- Experience designing, building, scaling, and operating reliable distributed systems in production
- Working experience with Golang, AWS, Postgres, and Kubernetes
- Experience building performance and observability tooling
- Ability to define metrics, instrument systems, and use data to demonstrate improvement
- Experience improving teams through tooling, practices, or decision-making habits
- Clear communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Build tooling for performance analysis and observability
- Partner with product, infrastructure, and security teams to develop shared solutions
- Identify systemic issues across infrastructure and product and drive them to resolution
- Anticipate scaling bottlenecks and scale systems before incidents occur
- Introduce better tooling and practices around measurement, SLOs, and data-driven decisions
- Translate technical trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders
- Raise technical standards through design reviews, documentation, and mentorship
