About the Role
You will design, build, and own a self-service internal developer platform with golden paths, templates, and guardrails. You will embed AI-driven automation, own AWS infrastructure, establish platform standards, improve engineering workflows using data, and manage a roadmap based on engineers’ requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience building an internal developer platform or developer experience function from scratch.
- Deep AWS expertise designing cost-efficient, production-grade cloud architectures.
- Strong DevOps and platform engineering knowledge, including Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience gathering requirements, managing a backlog, and measuring adoption for internal engineering customers.
- Experience working autonomously in fast-moving environments without a defined specification.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or an equivalent scripting or backend language.
- Experience building AI-powered tooling for platform and infrastructure workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design and build a self-service internal developer platform with golden paths, templates, and guardrails.
- Embed AI-driven automation for cost optimisation, anomaly detection, auto-remediation, and developer productivity.
- Own AWS cloud architecture, cost efficiency, reliability, and security posture.
- Gather requirements from engineers, prioritise the platform roadmap, and measure impact on developer velocity.
- Set and enforce standards for infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and secrets management.
- Identify and resolve engineering workflow friction using data.
- Build, deploy, and operate platform capabilities autonomously.
