About the Role
You will design, build, evolve, and maintain cloud platform infrastructure that is secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective. You will develop infrastructure-as-code solutions, manage Kubernetes environments, improve CI/CD pipelines, establish observability standards, and deliver self-service platform capabilities. You will mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and maintain documentation.
Requirements
- 4+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience
- Experience designing and administering complex platforms across AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Knowledge of VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, BGP, OSPF, and IaaS/PaaS architectural patterns
- 2+ years of experience with Terraform or Ansible
- Experience with AWX, Ansible Tower, Terragrunt, Python, Bash, or Go
- 2+ years of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation experience
- Knowledge of secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance
- 2+ years of Kubernetes administration experience
- Proficiency in Kubernetes networking, RBAC, pod security, Istio, and Docker image management
- Experience with Backstage, JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, API gateways, and self-service platform tools
- Experience with Honeycomb, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, cloud networking, DNS, load balancing, and traffic management
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable AWS cloud infrastructure
- Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform
- Lead cloud technology evaluation and standardisation initiatives
- Build, optimise, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment
- Establish DevOps and DevSecOps best practices
- Architect and manage Kubernetes environments
- Implement platform engineering tools and self-service capabilities through an internal developer portal
- Define and enforce monitoring, alerting, and observability standards
- Foster collaboration between development and operations teams
- Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and maintain documentation
