About the Role
You will develop core device software and a robust stack that interacts with firmware, motors, sensors, and software agents. You will work with electrical and software partners on feasibility, diagnose crashes and hardware failures, improve performance, and develop and debug camera and sensor data pipelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience
- Strong familiarity with userspace Linux programming and conventions
- Working knowledge of Linux kernel internals
- Deep experience with multithreaded C
- Knowledge of Shell or Python
- Knowledge of USB, RS232, and TCP/IP/HTTP communication protocols
Responsibilities
- Develop core device systems software and functionality
- Build a software stack that interacts with firmware, motors, sensors, and software agents
- Work with electrical engineering and software partners to ensure feature feasibility and functionality
- Perform root-cause analysis of system crashes and hardware failures
- Identify bugs and bottlenecks to improve system performance
- Develop and debug camera and sensor data pipelines
