About the Role

You will design and own AWS infrastructure, Terraform-based cloud foundations, and self-service developer tooling. You will build CI/CD systems, secure networking and access controls, platform standards, observability, and cost visibility while enabling research workflows at scale.

Requirements

• Have hands-on production experience designing and running AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Use Terraform in production; Ansible is a plus.
• Work hands-on with Kubernetes and containers.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Flux, or equivalent tools.
• Implement access control, secrets management, and least-privilege practices in code.
• Design cloud and hybrid networking, including VPCs, segmentation, private connectivity, DNS, load balancing, and ingress and egress controls.
• Build platform products and opinionated paved roads.
• Use Python, Go, or a comparable language with sound engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own AWS architecture and Terraform infrastructure-as-code.
• Create self-service golden paths and internal developer-platform tooling.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment infrastructure.
• Implement access management, secrets management, least-privilege defaults, network segmentation, and private connectivity.
• Create and review platform architecture, standards, and processes.
• Build metrics, alerting, and cost visibility for platform reliability and economy.
• Support research workflows with scalable self-service platform capabilities.
