About the Role
You will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud platform infrastructure. You will develop infrastructure automation, operate Kubernetes environments, establish observability standards, support self-service tooling, mentor junior engineers, and document engineering practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience
- Experience designing and administering complex AWS, GCP, and Azure platforms
- Knowledge of cloud networking, including VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, BGP, and OSPF
- 2+ years of experience with Terraform or Ansible
- Experience with AWX, Ansible Tower, Terragrunt, Python, Bash, or Go
- 2+ years of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
- Knowledge of secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance
- 2+ years of Kubernetes administration
- Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, RBAC, pod security, Istio, and Docker image management
- Experience with Backstage, artifact repositories, API gateways, and self-service platform tools
- Experience with Honeycomb, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, DNS, load balancing, and traffic management
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable AWS cloud infrastructure
- Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform
- Build, optimise, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment
- Establish DevOps and DevSecOps best practices
- Architect and manage Kubernetes environments
- Implement self-service platform capabilities through an internal developer portal
- Define and enforce monitoring, alerting, and observability standards
- Foster collaboration between development and operations
- Mentor junior engineers and maintain documentation
