About the Role

You will provide hands-on technical leadership while designing, building, and evolving cloud platform capabilities and shared infrastructure. You will improve developer self-service, automate infrastructure and software delivery, build CI/CD and observability tooling, and maintain reliable non-production environments. You will collaborate with SRE and Software Engineering on scalable, secure, production-ready platform designs, mentor engineers, document standards, and use AI-assisted tooling responsibly.

Requirements

• Significant experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
• Senior engineering experience providing technical leadership and mentorship
• Hands-on experience designing and building cloud infrastructure and engineering platforms
• Strong AWS experience
• Strong Kubernetes experience; Amazon EKS preferred
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience; Terraform preferred
• Experience designing reusable Terraform modules and infrastructure patterns
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar
• Experience designing developer platforms, self-service infrastructure, or reusable engineering capabilities
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and ClickHouse
• Strong understanding of Linux, containers, cloud infrastructure, networking, DNS, TLS, load balancing, and cloud networking
• Experience with infrastructure security, IAM, and secure cloud architecture
• Experience automating infrastructure and engineering workflows with Python, Go, Bash, or similar
• Experience supporting highly available customer-facing SaaS platforms
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools and agents such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT
• Communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentor Platform Engineers
• Design, build, and evolve cloud platform and shared infrastructure capabilities
• Develop reusable platform services, components, patterns, and abstractions
• Own and maintain reliable non-production platform environments
• Design and engineer AWS cloud infrastructure and Amazon EKS platform capabilities
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and Infrastructure as Code patterns
• Improve Kubernetes scheduling, resource management, scalability, security, networking, and IAM controls
• Build self-service workflows, templates, tooling, and platform interfaces for engineering teams
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, lifecycle management, testing, validation, and deployment
• Design and improve CI/CD capabilities, reusable pipelines, and workflows using GitHub Actions
• Build platform observability using metrics, logs, distributed tracing, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and ClickHouse
• Use AI-assisted tools and agentic workflows to improve infrastructure automation and engineering productivity
• Embed security, compliance, auditability, and governance requirements into platform architecture and automation
• Collaborate with SRE and Software Engineering on platform designs, operational requirements, and deployment standards
• Review infrastructure designs and Terraform changes, document technical decisions, and share knowledge
• Identify and reduce platform bottlenecks, complexity, technical debt, and delivery friction
