About the Role

Own the end-to-end operational process for Upvest's Altersvorsorgedepot framework, serving as a subject matter expert on German pension products while building client relationships, scaling operations, and improving the pension experience.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of German pension products and market rules.
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and data exchange with ZFA.
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve errors.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Native or fluent German; English is a nice-to-have.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with data analysis and process automation using data visualization tools, SQL, Python, or similar.
  • Several years of relevant experience with Riesterrente.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage pension processes covering transfers, contributions, bonus applications, and edge cases.
  • Scale, lead, mentor, and manage the pensions operations team.
  • Set up German pension products, train staff, and contribute to daily operations.
  • Build relationships with client operational teams and support end users with pension-related queries.
  • Contribute to building a best-in-class pension product.
  • Optimise workflows and implement automation and AI.
  • Design operational improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance and managing risks.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Treasury, and other teams.
  • Participate in projects to scale pension offerings.
  • Monitor key metrics and provide insights for business decisions and performance improvement.
