About the Role
Own the full lifecycle of utility infrastructure agreements, including negotiation, amendments, obligation tracking, utility requirements, reliability compliance, construction agreements, stakeholder coordination, and executive reporting.
Requirements
- 8+ years in the electric utility sector or negotiating and managing utility agreements
- Experience with large-load interconnection, energy service or electric service agreements, and utility construction agreements
- Strong command of utility tariffs, connection requirements, interconnection processes, metering standards, and reliability obligations
- Familiarity with engineering, procurement, and construction lifecycle
- Experience negotiating complex infrastructure agreements
- Exceptional contract management, organization, and attention to detail
- Strong cross-functional communication skills
- Based in or willing to relocate to Dallas, TX or San Francisco, CA
Responsibilities
- Lead utility infrastructure agreement negotiations
- Manage agreement obligations and responsibility matrices
- Track contractual citations, deadlines, owners, and statuses
- Run monthly deadline reviews and escalate at-risk items
- Translate utility requirements into engineering and operations requirements
- Manage construction agreement obligations
- Coordinate across business functions and data center tenants
- Report obligation status, counterparty performance, and contract risks
