About the Role
Build, hire, and lead a high-performing engineering team dedicated to Ripple's Identity Platform. Partner across engineering, product, compliance, and legal to deliver secure, compliant customer onboarding workflows; integrate KYC/KYB vendors; govern a core identity data model; and define a durable technical roadmap for global scale.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a Senior Engineering Manager or equivalent leading platform or identity-focused teams delivering complex distributed systems
- Domain expertise in identity, KYC/KYB, regtech, or compliance-heavy platforms
- Experience integrating major vendors into platform architectures while maintaining reliability, security, and compliance
- Strength guiding teams through complex system migrations and legacy decoupling
- Ability to align engineering, product, compliance, and legal stakeholders around a coherent technical strategy
- Ability to deliver highly reliable, auditable, and compliant platforms in regulated environments
- Experience building teams and capabilities that scale across geographies and regulatory frameworks
Responsibilities
- Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing engineering team dedicated to the Identity Platform
- Define the team's culture, standards, and ways of working from day one
- Partner with Product, Compliance, and other engineering teams to deliver customer onboarding and compliance capabilities
- Integrate with vendors like Persona for KYC/KYB
- Own the orchestration, persistence, and service layers connecting vendors to core systems
- Lead the design and governance of a core identity data model decoupled from legacy systems
- Build identity workflows meeting diverse regulatory requirements across multiple geographies
- Define and implement a technical roadmap balancing near-term delivery with long-term architectural durability
- Champion engineering excellence in design, testing, security, observability, and operational practices
