About the Role
You will lead network modernization from physical data centers to cloud-native architecture while maintaining highly reliable services. You will manage cloud and physical network operations, guide engineers, automate infrastructure, and oversee corporate connectivity. You will also handle vendors, contracts, capacity planning, incident response, and network security collaboration.
Requirements
- 7+ years of network engineering experience in production environments
- At least 3 years of leading and developing technical teams
- Expertise with Cisco switching platforms and BGP and OSPF routing protocols
- Experience architecting and managing Palo Alto Networks firewall deployments
- Deep knowledge of AWS cloud networking, including VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, CloudFront, and Route53
- Experience maintaining high-availability networks with 99.9%+ uptime
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code
- Knowledge of network automation, scripting, and DevOps practices
- Experience with vendor negotiations and colocation facilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent hands-on expertise
Responsibilities
- Lead the Network Operations team and support engineers' performance and career development
- Modernize network infrastructure from physical data centers to cloud-native architecture
- Drive infrastructure automation using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Own the strategy for the physical point-of-presence footprint
- Design secure, scalable network solutions
- Architect and optimize AWS cloud networking
- Maintain 99.999% uptime through monitoring, incident response, and optimization
- Lead troubleshooting across cloud and on-premises network environments
- Own corporate network infrastructure across headquarters and remote offices
- Oversee Cisco Meraki wireless, security, and network-management platforms
- Deliver secure and reliable Wi-Fi connectivity across corporate locations
- Manage ISP relationships, circuits, bandwidth, and redundancy
- Implement and uphold corporate network security policies with the security team
- Plan corporate network capacity
- Manage relationships with colocation providers and network hardware vendors
- Negotiate vendor contracts and service-level agreements
- Communicate network strategy and project progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders
