  • Fluency across edge, backbone, data center fabric, and SDN/cloud networking
  • Strong command of SDN and cloud-native networking
  • Experience setting multi-year technical strategy and influencing VP or C-level stakeholders
  • Experience building and scaling technical organizations, including hiring and developing senior and staff engineers
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience with hyperscalers, AI cloud providers, HPC centers, or large-scale colocation operators is a bonus
  • Experience supporting multi-node GPU training infrastructure is a bonus

  • Arbitrate tradeoffs between backbone capacity, data center fabric bandwidth, and SDN overlay overhead
  • Establish engineering standards, reference architectures, and design review processes
  • Set the strategy for PoP design, peering, IX participation, and edge compute and caching placement
  • Set the strategy for long-haul and core network design, BGP, MPLS, segment routing, optical transport, and redundancy
  • Set the strategy for spine-leaf fabrics, RDMA interconnects, and power- and cooling-aware rack design
  • Set the strategic direction for SDN control planes, Kubernetes networking, service meshes, VPCs, load balancers, and security groups
  • Champion intent-based networking, GitOps, and network source-of-truth practices
  • Lead executive-level remediation for major cross-domain outages
