  • 5+ years managing individual contributors.
  • Experience leading network architecture at hyperscale across 1000+ switches and multi-campus or multi-region environments.
  • Fluency across edge, backbone, data center fabric, and SDN/cloud networking.
  • Strong command of SDN and cloud-native networking.
  • Experience setting multi-year technical strategy and influencing VP or C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience building and scaling technical organizations, including hiring and developing senior and staff engineers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with hyperscalers, AI cloud providers, HPC centers, or large-scale colocation operators is a bonus.
  • Experience supporting multi-node GPU training infrastructure is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with SONiC OS, P4 programmable data planes, or formal network verification tools is a bonus.
  • Open-source networking contributions are a bonus.
  • Relevant CCIE or JNCIE certifications are a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Own company-wide architecture strategy across edge, backbone, data center, and SDN/cloud domains.
  • Arbitrate tradeoffs between backbone capacity, data center fabric bandwidth, and SDN overlay overhead.
  • Establish engineering standards, reference architectures, and design review processes.
  • Set strategy for PoP design, peering, IX participation, and edge compute and caching placement.
  • Set strategy for long-haul and core network design, BGP, MPLS, segment routing, optical transport, and redundancy.
  • Set strategy for spine-leaf fabrics, RDMA interconnects, and power- and cooling-aware rack design.
  • Set strategic direction for SDN control planes, Kubernetes networking, service meshes, VPCs, load balancers, and security groups.
  • Champion intent-based networking, GitOps, and network source-of-truth practices.
  • Lead executive-level remediation for major cross-domain outages.
  • Partner with product, hardware, infrastructure, and executive stakeholders on multi-year roadmaps.
