About the Role

You will lead Data Hall Design Leads and Designers across Americas programs. You will set design standards, plan capacity, review drawing packages and cabling plans, coordinate with engineering and construction partners, oversee BOM and DCIM quality, manage design changes, and report design risks and status to leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of data center design, infrastructure planning, or structured cabling design experience
  • 3+ years leading a design team
  • Experience delivering multiple data halls through construction and operational handoff
  • Knowledge of GPU server, network, storage, cooling, power, and cabling design
  • High-density fiber and structured cabling design expertise
  • Knowledge of spine-leaf, ToR, InfiniBand, and Ethernet physical network design
  • Experience governing design standards and review processes
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, or equivalent tools and BIM or Revit review
  • Experience owning BOMs and working with procurement

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, develop, hire, and onboard data hall design staff
  • Plan team capacity and balance workload across programs
  • Own data hall design standards and reference designs
  • Set rack, aisle, cooling, density, cabling, and fiber design approaches
  • Review and approve layouts, elevations, cabling plans, fiber trays, and patch matrices
  • Coordinate design with MEP, network engineering, procurement, construction, and operations
  • Own BOM quality and escalate procurement risks
  • Set DCIM documentation standards and validate turnover records
  • Manage design change control, RFIs, and critical field issues
  • Report design status, risks, and resourcing to stakeholders
